You're going out on your own and getting your own apartment! This is an exciting time, but choosing your own apartment can be a lot of work. You're likely going to be bombarded with information and trying to work out everything that you need to do in order to find the apartment that meets your needs the best. You may find that there are two different apartments that you're choosing from when looking for apartments for single people and couples. These can be one-bedroom apartments or studio apartments but what's the difference? Are there significant differences between the two that you need to be sure that you consider before making a choice? Here are some of the differences. How the Space is Laid Out The layout of the space is a big difference between studios and 1 bedroom apartments. In a studio, you literally have one large space that has your kitchenette and your common space. You need to fit your bed in there and everything. Your bathroom is, likely, a small little area in a corner. And that's it. A one-bedroom apartment, on the other hand, has a lot more space. You likely have a dedicated bedroom and a full, complete kitchen in there. You also likely have a living room. The bathroom is, likely, much larger than what you are going to find in a studio apartment as well. Some one bedroom apartments cover the entire floor of renovated homes, so you've got a ton more space here. Cost When you look at one bedroom apartments in phoenix, you will find that the rent and utilities cost more than in a studio apartment. And, that makes sense. You're paying for the extra square footage in your rent, and you will have more space to use in that one bedroom apartment. And, with that extra square footage comes more electrical outlets and more space that you're going to need to heat and cool during the appropriate times of the year. So, yes, while you get more space, you're paying for that extra space in your other costs as well. Storage Space If you're worried about how much storage space that you have in your apartment, then a studio apartment may go off of your list quickly. A studio has no closets or any sort of storage space the only space that's not in the main area is the bathroom, as started earlier in this article. If you have a lot of items, or you don't like the idea of your clothing being in the same space where you hang out regularly, then you want to be sure that you consider a one-bedroom instead. Take some time to look at and explore what you want to get out of an apartment before making a final decision. There's a lot that you need to be sure that you consider and, as you look at what you can find, you want to be sure that you get something that is right for you. Good luck finding the apartment of your dreams!
